PumaRinri Lodge

PUMARINRI HUALLAGA LODGE is situated in a prestigious location on the banks of the Huallaga River in the canyon through which it proceeds to cross the final foothills of the Andes mountain range known as the Cordillera Occidental. The property is a private reserve measuring 62 hectares (155 acres) in size.

Surrounded by forest, rivers and streams, the site has the distinction of being at a biological bridging point due to its location at the juncture between the Cerro Escalera Regional Conservation Area and the Cordillera Azul National Park. Moreover, three highly distinct ecosystems run successively along the length of the Huallaga River: tropical dry forest, the upland montane forest and the lowland forest of the Amazon basin.

The PUMARINRI HUALLAGA LODGE has been designed according to best practice environmental principles. With eight spacious rooms including balconies, it offers the best in comfort in the middle of the jungle.

Water is a very significant element: from the white sands of the Huallaga's riverside beaches to the fresh streams of Yuracyacu, which form refreshing pools where you can swim, everything invites you to take a dip. We have both hot and cold water.

Excursions and tours can be made by land or by river, using different types of boat. The area has a great diversity of birds, butterflies and amphibians, which can be viewed along the lodge's pathways or on walks through the forest, to the waterfalls or to the native communities.
